I have a 2018 Ford escape with 49k on it and I just had the transmission fluid done at Valvoline. I've had some friends get their cars done at Valvoline and have had really good luck with the service there. My fluid was really dark which isn't out of the ordinary for metcon lv fluid. After the transmission fluid change my transmission started slamming randomly especially when coasting down a hill and downshifting going up a hill. It's done it 5 times in the last couple days. My question is could it be that the adaptive learning needs to be reset for the new fluid or am I looking at something else like a new transmission in the works? Really hoping the extra warranty i bought will take care of me if it's something major.
