Just wondering if carbon buildup is as big a deal as some people say on the Ecoboost engines and if they are how can I help prevent it from causing issues? I have a 2018 escape titanium AWD with the 2.0 Ecoboost. It Only has 44k on it. I absolutely love my escape so I'm trying to be proactive about common complaints on it. Planning on having the dealership do a full driveline fluids change at 50k and I do oil changes every 5k religiously. Any other maintenance recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Side note - I get roughly 22mpg depending on stop and go traffic. Is that normal or should I get better? I'll get closer to 19 in the winter due to more idling and slow driving going up and down a hill every day for work.
