I have a lot of free time this summer so I created a new FM challenge for myself: the GOAT manager challenge. This is for people who are into LONG journeyman saves. The premise consists on replicating all the greatest achievements of the best managers of this century, hopefully I can knock out multiple at a time. Here’s how I set it up, feel free to add suggestions! I would like y’all to tell me which one you think will be the hardest:
25 year career at most!
Mourinho: Start either unemployed or in a team outside the top 5 leagues in Europe, win the Champions League with this team like Mourinho did with Porto. (Personally I’m starting in Sporting CP in Portugal).
Klopp: Win a Champions League and league title (95 points, 90/85 if shorter league) while never having recorded a transfer expenditure higher than the top four teams in your league.
Wenger: Win a top five league undefeated.
Guardiola: Win a Sextuple ADDED CHALLENGE (optional): never finish below third in the league at any of your clubs
Ancelotti Zidane: Win five Champions Leagues in total including a three peat.
Scaloni (optional if you’re into int. management): Win the Euro/Copa America Finalissima World Cup
Sir Alex Ferguson: Over the course of your career win 49 trophies (league titles, domestic cups, continental/international competitions)
These are the ones I came up with, I’m not the most creative player however (that Klopp one could use some revising), so if you come up with any other cool ones please let me know!
