Post Body

I’m in 2036 and my seventh year in my save at Atlético Madrid. I love my team and I’ve built a great squad with young talent waiting to replace everyone that leaves. But I’m so tired of having to be virtually perfect to overcome Real Madrid. Barcelona is less an issue, and I’ve won the league once and the first Champions League trophy is the club’s history. But other than the season I won the league where Real and Barca had uncharacteristically bad seasons and I ran away with it by 12 points, I have to be virtually perfect to overcome them. Not to mention that the squad rules are such that if you get decimated by injuries you’re virtually fucked.

The biggest issue is now that I’ve actually done some winning the board and supporters expect me to win the league every year. I know the answer is to just move on, but I love my team and the thought of starting over isn’t fun, especially considering every big team is shambolic financially in this game after you’ve reached a certain year. I’m not really looking for answers, but none of my friends play FM so I’m complaining to people I know will get it.
