Give each team a fan group, some are more significant than others (e.g. teams in Poland, Serbia, ect are bigger)
Before big games, you can interact with the fan group (similar to the concept of team meetings) and call for their increased support. If you have a good reputation with the fans and can get them on board, then at important times during the game (kick off, after a goal, last 10 minutes), their 'support' is increased.
This support can translate to increased player morale, giving you an advantage. This concept not only makes home games feel more 'homely' but also make away games harder as the away team will have the same.
