You ever regret leaving a club?
Post Body

Usually my goal in each save is to start at a lower level club and eventually work my way to get the Liverpool job because I root for them IRL.

Well, after about 10 seasons of success at SM Caen, Girona, and Atlético Madrid, I finally got the Liverpool job. The club is in absolute financial shambles. Operating at a $250 million deficit, only able to retain 25% of transfer revenue and it looks like they’ve just been buying veteran players and not buying for the future whatsoever. There are about three viable young prospects. In year one, we qualify for the Champions League. In the offseason I’m forced to sell two of my world class players which still doesn’t make up for the awful financial situation. I’m buying wonder kids for cheap and all that. In year two we win the league, FA Cup, Community Shield and Club World Cup. Year three we lose the league on the last day to Man City after getting decimated by injuries down the stretch.

All this time I’ve grown increasingly frustrated by the board not helping me out whatsoever. I see that the Ajax job is available so I apply for it and get it as I’ve always wanted to manage in the Eredivisie. I’m a few games into my first season with them and I’ve been forced to sell a couple veteran players who were really good and I’m kind of regretting my decision. Anyone else ever feel this way? I know I’m gonna end up enjoying it once I can build the squad how I want, but part of me feels like I didn’t accomplish everything I could have at Liverpool.
