Hey all,
I finally got around to downloading and installing the Daveincid realism megapack and the around the globe megapack for a new career save. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I have every possible nation playable and a large DB ~250k players. I'm about to start the 2024-2025 campaign currently in League 1 with Barrow.
I've sold 2 players so far, Josh Gordon for $68k and Jamal Hector Ingram for $110k. However, these sales felt pretty "gamey", as neither had any clear interest or initial offers when put out for bid and required quite a bit of back and forth negotiations etc. to make happen. Both players had decent seasons in front of goal. Besides these two who I transfer listed, not a single one of my players has garnered any interest in the transfer market.
I have multiple first team players on low wages that had successful campaigns and I'm not sure what exactly is going on with this. For example, my midfield pairing of Robbie Gotts and Reece Cole are both valued at close to $750k - not a drip of interest from anyone. Manni Norkett netted 19 times as an 18 year old.. no interest.
I guess there's two parts to this question. 1) Am i right in thinking that even with a large player database, having all nations playable should avoid any transfer supply/demand issues?
2) Is the realism megapack actually making this realistic? Dumb question i know, but as someone outside of the UK i'm more familiar with higher profile signings. Like is it more realistic for say Tottenham to wait out a contract for one of my league 1 players rather than buy them? If Barrow irl sold Robbie Gotts for $1mill would that be absolutely unheard of?
Thanks in advance!
