Tough Transfer call. Need help.
So, I booted up my old FM22 save with Wrexham. We were in our first season in the premier league after winning back-back-back-back promotion through the English pyramid.
I’ve managed to recruit well and have 4 players on the top 50 wonder kids in the world list, which would have been 5 if not for my board and stupid English work permit rules.
Anyway. I’ve secured Champions League and with that I’ve decided to add two star players to fill out my roster. A striker with more reliable finishing than the strike pair I have that have scored and assisted wonderfully together, but can be upgraded upon. With this in mind as soon as I got my summer transfer budget I wanted a domestic striker to fill in the retiring Callum Wilson and a pacey striker I had on loan from Crystal Palace. I already swung a deal from Rasmus Hojlund who I’m expecting this summer after a loan back move expires so he can gain his work permit.
The two strikers I’m choosing between is Ivan Toney and Dane Scarlett. Toney is 30 but he’s clearly still an amazing finisher, while Scarlett is 22 and still developing, but is close in ability. I put in a bid for Scarlett in case Toney rejected the move or drew things out, but both have accepted the move and I’m not sure which one to take as I head into the champions league next season. I also want to bring in Yves Bisuoma from Brighton who are getting relegated. Both my strikers have about 30 goals between all competitions and each with about 15 assists.
Other needs is a second goal keeper to challenge my number 1 and a right back (which my scouts have been unable to find anyone suitable for my system.
Who should I take and who should I turn down?
