Hi everyone!
So I've been deciding between 2 different menus for my food truck business that I'm planning on starting and would like your opinions if you have the time :) I have done market research for both menus. (I am based in Oakland,CA planning to cater, attend popups, and will operate in Oakland, SF, Hayward, Union City, San Jose, and Santa Rosa throughout the year)
Menu 1: This menu will need various equipment and in all will cost the most to startup BUT this menu will do well and I truly believe I can kill it. I have hosted multiple pop ups with this menu and they were VERY successful
Menu 2: This menu will require the least amount of money to start and the least amount of equipment. I have plans showing this doing well because we will have items exclusive to the entire bay area and they are STRAIGHT UP SHOW STOPPERS. One of our exclusive items will come in the form of a popsicle and after calculating costs.... it'll be like $6.50 each 😬 like for a fucking popsicle 🤣🤦🏽♀️ BUT this is the bay area and shit is expensive af here. So it doesn't seem that outrageous. Then I just keep thinking.. BUT ITS A POPSICLE 😫 Anywho, other popsicles/ice cream bars in my area are around $3.50-$5 each. So my question is, would you pay $6.50 for a popsicle? It's no plain ass popsicle/ ice cream bar so please dont come for me about that either lol.
Any and all opinions and suggestions are appreciated, thanks!
[Edit] The reason I explained both menus is because the popsicle is kind of my deciding factor right now. It's either invest in the equipment needed for one menu or the other. Thanks again!
