How do premade cocktails uphold their quality?

I am curious in finding out how premade cocktails that have citrus so not lose their freshness? I recently tried the On The Rocks brand premade cocktails and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the quality was. However from my understanding of premaking cocktails and bottling them, it is usually a big no no in the bartending world to add citrus to your batch as it will lose it's bright freshness, especially if unrefrigerated. Does anyone in here have an idea of how OTR makes it work?
