Our power went out around 2am and didn't come back on until 11am. I have a thermometer sitting inside the fridge door. I checked as soon as the power came back on and it was around 50 degrees Fahrenheit, but the items on the shelves (further away from the door) still felt quite cold to the touch. I normally keep our fridge very cold (~33-35 F). I'm planning on throwing out the milk, but what about things like white cheddar blocks, orange juice, mayo, and yogurt?
I don't have a thermometer in the freezer but the ice cream was still in-tact albeit soft and starting to give around the edges. The ice cubes in the tray had shrunk but hadn't completely melted. I could still see some ice crystals in a couple of opened boxes of Bubba burgers (turkey & beef) and they still felt pretty frozen solid. Some frozen Stouffer meals still looked frozen but starting to get soft. We also have some frozen chicken tenders. Are all of these still safe to eat?
The doors had not been opened at all during the entire time.
