Is there a 'best day' to buy seafood?

From the supermarket, fishmonger etc? Do they gear up ahead of the weekend? Anyone got the scoop... or am I overthinking it. Particularly fond of NZ salmon, though it's spenny.

Doesn’t matter I use to work for a seafood supplier and shop but Occasionally the trawlers usually offload just before the weekend if your after fresh prawns etc
