I had a birthday dinner to attend last Friday. On the way I stopped at Ralph’s to purchase a birthday cake, I got a cookie dough chocolate cake.
Once at the restaurant (high end) I left the cake with the server and he said he’d put it in the fridge and serve it alongside dessert. (Due to size of our party the meal was 4 courses with dinner included)
Fast forward to dessert we enjoyed about 70% of the cake and the remainder was returned in its original container. The container was re-sealed. I ended up taking the cake home because the birthday girl wanted to go clubbing and I was the only one to tired to join.
I’m usually not a fan of sweets so when I got home I left the cake on the dining room table near the front door. It sat there for maybe 4 days unrefrigerated until I went to toss it during trash day. Flies were flying around inside the seal!!!!!! How the heck did they get in??? I’m not sure who to blame, restaurant or Ralph’s. What do you think?
