Overpass - are these bugs in the font itself?

Hi!
i'm having a problem with the Overpass Font (which i really like), it seems that lines that have some unicode char in it, get rendered some pixel lower. I did some arranging in this screenshot, to show the problem with i3blocks on the top and with Audacious (GTK App) on the bottom.
edit: when i take out the letter eĢ from Audacious it renders correctly, btw.
Any ideas about who's to blame here?
