Hey guys, I’ve been out of the game for a while now and I’m jumping back in, but I had a question. I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find a straight answer yet, so figured I’d ask my favorite 76 community.

So, last I played, we were getting updates to heavy guns and such that boosted their damage a bit, making them more viable. Originally, sneak rifles and melee were basically the only real competitively viable builds, heavy guns and energy weapons being near useless. I already have a character that’s sneak Rifle and a good melee build, so now I want to see if the other weapon categories are somewhat up to par yet.

So, the actual question: are energy weapons (laser rifles and plasma rifles) a viable weapon option yet? Are they worth building a character around? And to a lesser extent, how about heavy guns? If I wanted to run a power armor heavy gun build, would it be worth the effort?

Sorry if this has been covered before, I just couldn’t seem to find info about buffs to either category. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to chat with me about this though.
