Two things from Whitesprings: A Rant
Post Body

Hey guys, just a quick little thing I want to get off my chest. Well, two little things. But you can call this a rant, or a PSA, or whatever, it’s just me letting off steam, lol.

Whitesprings; we all know it, we all love to hate it, we all hate to love it, but we all have spent a good deal of time there since launch. That said, some people still aren’t getting it in my eyes. The common courtesies of a Nuke Run. A few things can be considered a common courtesy when running a Nuke zone, but two (three?) tend to stick out to me. Well, two bad ones and one that isn’t really an issue but more a suggestion.

To start, the suggestion. When running in a Nuke Zone alone, other players may try to invite you to a team. Don’t be afraid to join them, even if you don’t know them. By being on a team, as long as you are within range of a kill, you can loot the bodies of enemies your team mates kill, even if you don’t get the XP from it. When you have four people all solo hitting the same group of enemies, each of those four will only get stuff from what they hit themselves, meaning a big chunk of that enemy group is now useless to you because the others mowed them down before you could get a hit. If all four of you were in a team, even if none of you are chatting, you now get full access to all the loot in that room. This is why fandoms are asking you to join a team, they want to maximize their loot options and lower competition. Who knows, if you run solo, you may have gotten rusty knuckles from that legendary you just killed, but someone else could have just missed out on the exact weapon they’ve been farming for.

Now on to the actual ranting/issues I wanted to point out. First up, two shot Exploding weapons. We get it, you can walk through any content in the game and laugh at it. Guess what, so can everyone else who has a TSE weapon right now. When you walk through a nuke zone and one shot everything that moves into your range of sight, you are killing that zone for anyone behind you. Yesterday I went thirty minutes before I found a ghoul, some guy went through (solo, refused to team with anyone) and picked off everything with his TSE shotgun. He had speed demon, so nobody could outrun him for kills. He was level 197, he has TSE weapons, what more could he possibly gain? I understand the power trip of running the ultimate weapon and facerolling the higher content in the game, I have TSE weapons myself. But if you see a large group of people in the zone trying to farm or level, put your TSE back in the stash and use something less devastating. Let people get some kills, work as a team, you aren’t the Punisher and those ghouls didn’t kill your family, let it go.

On the topic of exploding weapons, I come to my final point and second issue.... keep your dang explosions away from the dead bodies!! You don’t need to send all the loot to the moon every five seconds to stay alive, we other players will protect you. Don’t even take grenades with you to Whitesprings, just don’t even do it, you’ll be tempted to use them and then everyone will be pissed off. I didn’t use up five stimpacks and some psycho to fight that legendary chameleon deathclaw just so you could blast it back to deathclaw island before I could loot it! Somewhere in Appalachia, it’s raining legendary weapons and ghoul bodies, but it’s not the Whitesprings, that’s for sure. And you... yes you... you know who you are... if you bring your two shot MIRV Fatman to our Nuke Zone farm again... I’ll find you, you’ll never be safe in Appalachia again friend, you’ll have to go hide with the brotherhood in New Vegas to escape the wrath coming for you...

Anyways, that’s it. I’m done, got out what I needed, lol. Thank you all for reading along.

TL:DR - stop using TSE to instakill everything in the Nuke zones, leaving nothing for everyone else to get loot/exp from. Stop using explosives to blast un-looted bodies into orbit.
