Crashing on “Signing In” after update on Steam

Update: After doing TWO local file integrity checks in steam it started working normally….but I’ve still crashed to desktop a few times while playing.
Anyone else getting this? Downloaded game, started, went to the signing in title screen and completely freezes every time. Never had it happen before the update
