Did they fix automatron random encounter spam?

So came back to Fo4 after a long break and I noticed I’m not getting tons of automatron loading screens like I used to. And maybe even less Rust Devil spawning but not sure about that. Still definitely some rust devil spawns.
I’m just wondering because I’m thinking about uninstalling automatron to get to enjoy plenty of random encounters I’ve never had before instead of mostly rust devil spawns. Any one have experiences on this?
