Nah I think you’re right, digital foundry said it was broken too.
It doesn’t tho, the things you’re saying just aren’t true. Hardware wise Xbox is slightly better but honestly they’re so close the difference is usually negligible.
Yeah the problem is.
On Xbox we’re getting either 4k60, 1440p60 or 1080p60 at standard settings.
On Ps5 they’re getting ultra settings on quality instead of standard. Then after that they’ve come out and basically said it’s meant to be like that. It isn’t, even digital foundry said it’s broken.
Luckily the fact it looks better on PS than it does on Xbox isn’t a good look for Microsoft so hopefully they will make sure it get sorted. Not holding my breath tho.
The funny thing is, it is working as intended on ps5. So they have 4k & ultra settings on quality mode yet the console that owns the game doesn’t have it. It does look better than it did before the update on Xbox, but so it should! And currently it’s only because it’s 4k60 instead of like 900p60 via fps boost. I’ve already completed this game on xbox in 60fps, so I want the ultra settings this time around. Otherwise I’ve waited a whole year for nothing more than a resolution boost.
At this point it feels like they’re just denying the bug exists because they can’t or won’t fix it.
We’re supposed to have ultra settings on quality mode whether it’s supposed to target 4k60fps or not but we don’t have that we have standard settings at 4k60.

So their response to the bug is basically “nah it’s supposed to be like that” haha great.
