So, those of you who've played Fallout 4 VR already know the game was practically abandoned by Bethesda practically before it was even released, with no official DLC support being included and the VR implementation being as barebones as humanly possible.
Despite this, it was one of the coolest worlds to explore in VR, especially since the sense of scale is insane while in VR (death claws and robots being particularly of note for me). I haven't explored Fo4 VR for a few years due to it being such a buggy mess, with having to copy files from "pancake" Fo4 to VR to enable features (such as the DLC) being a standard practice (as well as copying game saves back and forth to do some tasks in the pancake version since they wouldn't work in VR). After tearing through the Fallout series on Prime (and being pleasantly surprised by it), I, like many others, decided to take a look at the 'ol VR game, and was given the impression that (with a fair amount of effort) a number of the more glaring issues were patched since my last real go at it, with the incredibly broken automaton DLC apparently being being all but fixed by the community.
Now, with no mention of a patch for the VR version, I'm concerned what this will mean for the VR version. Will this mean no more copyable DLCs from my pancake version? Will the mods that made the VR version work also be broken? I'm hoping to explore some of these questions in my own once this sinus infection I have clears up, but am alarmed at the possibility of the new pancake patch completely breaking the VR version as well.
Anyone else experiment with utilizing the new Fo4 pancake version resources to get the VR version running yet?
