Is infinite follower glitch patched?

I have Jericho with me, killed Dogmeat at vault 101 and traveled to museum of history to recruit Charon, as soon as I walk in The Ninth Circle, Charon instantly attacks. Tried over and over and different methods. Anyone have any idea?

One time I had Star Paladin Cross, Fawkes, and Dogmeat after I escaped Raven Rock. No idea how but I was pretty stoked. Too bad Fawkes would Gatling Laser Cross all the time. Many fights stopped with a reloaded save.
