The Tops broken? (PC Vers)

I talked to Benny but I ran away from his lackies because I couldn't kill them.. but now when I go back in.. I can't do anything. I can't move, nobody talks to me. I can't go to pip boy, nothing. I can reload my save AFTER that but for whatever reason on this account the Tops if broken. Am I missing something.
Should I go get benny and try again? Is this account broken -.-?
