I have loved this franchise since 2013. Not just because they would win but because they would compete and how they competed.
Every highlight video this split and last has talked about this teams potential and the expectations this team has. The players talk about it, Yamato talks about it, Javier talks about it. And I understand the goal is to win. But there shouldn't be any expectations to do so because expectations are dangerous.
After last split ended coming into the new split players talked about having too much stress due to expectations and feeling this pressure that they had to win. Remember the goal is to win but I have never expected this team to win. I want them to win but what I want more is for them to compete. Like last year with the loser bracket run. Or 2017 with the groups comeback. 2015 msi with beating the best team in the world. That's the fnatic I love the ones that go out there and do there best. Put it all on the line and compete. And a lot of the time they have won which is awesome but I never expected anything from them I just wanted them to do there best.
Lately this fanbase has been expecting a win and I get it. It's been awhile but if your only reason for being a fan is because they're winning its not good enough. We as fans should elimate these expectations and extra pressure we put on the players. We're already good enough. We have the potential can we stop talking about it already and just go out there and do our best. As of right now it's all talk and expectations. But have they lived up to it? Maybe lower your expectations.
You guys are always left disappointed because you're expectations blind you. Have faith not expectations. Send the players some love. If you guys want them to make playoffs let go of the expectations and then the winning will happen.
Always Fnatic.
