Henry/Edwin inherited the Hurricane Dump, and while he was initially a trash collector he was a tinkerer at heart. He made up characters to occupy his mind during the day, Mr. Hugs, Pan Stan, Bucket Bob… they were the mascots of his waste disposal facility.

Eventually he started giving “life”, and his animatronic “workers” (the robotic vacuum cleaner, a paper shredder, etc) gave him time spread his wings a bit more. He was making more money than ever, and he volunteered to take over the Fall Festival when the previous chairman began to age out.

In his mind, memories of that old Fredbear’s Singing Bear Show at the circus danced and whirred, and so he decided to theme the festival off of those. He created the Mediocre Melodies, and filled out the roster with Mystic Hippo and Carnie. He built music boxes with little dancing ballerinas to give as prizes. Balloon Boy was always there to give out balloons while Fruit Punch Clown and Lemonade Clown would provide drinks. Little Joe was created for Lally’s Lollies in exchange for their sponsorship.

In 1978, an exotic woman walked into his life. She was beautiful, and her English Accent captivated him. She introduced him to her “brother” William, who happened to be the son of the owner of the old Afton Circus that he’d modeled his Fall Fest’s after.

The circus had gone defunct over the years, William was a screwed businessman but a terrible entertainer. Seeing this blue collar jerk taking his properties and being better than him… he was seething. His wife was scared of him, afraid of what he’d do to her or their two kids - Michael and Elizabeth - so she did as he wanted.

By the end of the year, she was pregnant and Henry’s marriage to Fiona had fallen apart. His whole life was. He deserved it, he knew that, he chose the affair. He didn’t know that Fiona was also pregnant.

Neither William nor his wife knew if the new baby was Henry’s or William’s. She swore it was, but William kept denying that the baby was his. They had intentionally ruined Henry’s life, but unintentionally their own as well.

Fall Fest of 79, the year that burned away Henry’s life, that was when everything came crashing down. William had invested in Henry’s robotics company when the vacuum cleaners began to break down. When the fires consumed the festival, Henry was as good as mud. Without William at least.

William’s wife died in the fire, and the two men bonded over being “victim” to her manipulations. It was determined that William would take care of David, the son that could be either of theirs. To be used as emotional manipulation down the road. Henry threw himself into his work as the two men started an enterprise together.

Henry learned that Fiona had been murdered a year later and he took custody over his daughter. He saw how David was treated by Michael (for breaking up the family) and it broke his heart. Then, in 83, David died due to one of his own creations and karma took away Charlotte.

Eventually he would learn that it was William who sent his wife to destroy Henry’s marriage, and it was William who started the fire in 79, it was William who killed Fiona as “punishment” for getting his own wife pregnant, it was William who killed Charlie as punishment for David’s death.

The Devil was waiting for William, and Henry would deliver him.
