I know that the lore is moving towards AI and not hauntings, but I've still got this thought that won't get out of my head. I want to make a video on this at some point, but I'd like to see if there are any obvious failings in my thinking. Starting out, as a reminder, Circus Baby is both AI and Haunting. Are there any others like this?
I don't know where to start with this, other than just saying it outright. Steven Snodgrass's remnant was used in Candy Cadet, who is the game continuity Storyteller.
We know that Snodgrass' games were 2, 4, and Sister Location as images from each were displayed when he was being discussed by tape girl, and those are the three games in which lore is given to us through 8 bit minigames. We get random death minigames in FNaF2, and End of Night minigames in 4 and Sister Location. It wouldn't make sense for those 8-bit games to be available outside of a game.
Which brings about the question - who made Midnight Motorist? Who made Fruity Maze? Or any of the lore relevant arcade games? Well, this brings me to the Storyteller.
"It's a simple template-style software that takes pieces of previously created stories and rearranges them into new scenarios for VR, AR, and arcade games."
The Storyteller wormed its way into everything in the Pizzaplex, doing for Mr. Burrows what Steven Snodgrass did for Mr. Edwards. Take old stories, cut them up, and repackage them. As RyeToast points out, the AI can't create anything truly new. Couldn't the same be said for Snodgrass, all of his previous attempts to create games not related to the old Fredbear stories failing?
I think the connection between The Storyteller and Snodgrass are easy in purpose, but we have no evidence that Snodgrass was put into an animatronic. Though I think there are reasons to tie him to Candy Cadet. Candy Cadet was introduced along with *cue meme* Muuuusic Man. Steve Snodgrass listened to DJ Dan the Music Man. I know its superficial. I have an easier time tying Candy Cadet to the Storyteller.
Other than the arcade games in Pizzaria Simulator, our second source of lore is Candy Cadet. He is literally a storyteller, and we know that the stories are linked somehow to the old stories of Fredbears. Or we think they are, at least. They are simple template-style stories that can be cut up and remixed into new stories. Not just in PS, the Ruin and HW2 stories also follow the same formula.
Back to the primary source of lore, the arcade games. Midnight Motorist and Fruity Maze. Old stories cut up into the arcade games. To me, it seems like Candy Cadet wormed his way into the arcade games. It might just be me, but whenever I picture Candy Cadet, I think of the one with seven lights on his head. Red, purple, green, orange, blue, red, purple. Five colors, repeating. Colors 3 and 5, on the 1-7 path, green and blue. Inverse of what we see on Tiger Rock's cover, but they are where the eyes would be in my imagination.
Kinda superficial, I know the better connection is the fact that he's a literal Storyteller and the arcade games are used to tell old stories. If I wanted to get more superficial, I'd point out that SS and CandyCadet (CC but not that CC) are Scott's initials. SC. Steve is a Scott parallel, so to me it would make sense that when his parallel looks directly out of the monitor and speaks directly to us, the information we get is indirect and nearly completely unhelpful.
