In FNAF 2's Night 5 phone call, Phone Guy mentions they are trying to contact the "original restaurant owner".
Based on FNAF 6, Henry never left Fazbear Entertainment. At the time of FNAF 2, Afton would've been out of the picture(?) since he's working as the daytime security presumably under a fake name.
However, the water gets muddied by a few things: For starters, the novel trilogy established William and Henry founded Fredbear's together. Secondly, while this doesn't mean much, its worth mentioning that afaik there hasn't been much else that'd suggest Henry only partnered up with William when Fazbear Entertainment was founded.
Furthermore, another issue is since we know Afton was still at the company up until the MCI, I imagine he got booted out because he was the prime suspect. For them to try and then contact him after the DCI, wouldn't that mean Henry & upper-management didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize the day security guard they suspect is Afton?
It's also odd how in the same call, Phone Guy seems to barely know anything about Fredbear's. Until the Bite of 83, Fredbear's was seemingly open alongside the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that Phone Guy would've worked at. Phone Guy even gave instructional tapes on the springlock suits -- characters that originated from Fredbear's.
Finally, if you believe that Take Cake takes place at Fredbear's before Fredbear & Freddy became distinct characters, then both Henry and William had to have both been owners of the original restaurant.
Could this be the one retcon from prior to FFPS or was there a period where Afton was a solo owner at Fredbear's? ((or maybe I'm just missing something or making a big deal out of nothing LOL))
