Post Body

Hi all,

I know for quite some time that Iโ€™ve wanted to be a pilot, but for financial, familial, and other reasons, I decided to get my 4 year degree from my local state university before heading to full-on flight school.

I received my PPL two years ago already at 17 and have been fortunate enough to afford to be building XC hours over those two years, with the intermittent instrument training flights with a CFII when I had the time/money.

Coming up now, I have to decide, however, whether or not I want to pursue an instrument rating, so the question is whether itโ€™s okay if I proceed with it now, or whether I should wait till flight school to do it. (For context, not eligible for R-ATP)
