Iā€™m bored and I was wondering, if anyone has gotten a factory-new plane. What was the process like and how much did you have to put down?
Post Body

Not that Iā€™m in the market for one. Just curious. What are payment plans like? Are they similar to cars?

Iā€™m hoping for my first plane to be a SR20, but what are comparable planes? Would an RV10 be on par or better for a lower price?

The depreciation on them is insane so if you're thinking about buying one, buy used. Personally I think the 182 is a more versatile airplane and just as capable as a 22.

Financials aside, I taught in an SR20 for around 700 hours. The useful load is not good at all. 36 gallons of fuel and two people in front is pushing the envelope. Good luck taking 3 people and having a decent fuel endurance.

For the love of god do not buy an SR20
