Post Body

Hey Folks,

I'm a PPL but I've been out of flying since I had a night engine failure in late 2017. Landed safely (I was on base when it failed), but that was enough for me for awhile.

I just got a basic med and I'm considering getting my BFR and getting current again. I'm in the NOVA area. I'm considering whether I should jump into instrument training as well, or just get warmed up again.

Between the engine out and a few rougher flights as a student, I'm always a bit anxious when it comes to flying, so I'm looking for recommendations on a CFI that can work with me on that and some confidence building. I graduated a flight test engineering course earlier this year and we logged hours in a Cirrus and I liked the feel of those, so I'm considering flying in those to help relieve some of the anxiety as well. Does anyone in the NOVA area have any recommendations?
