I completed my multi commercial addon two weeks ago and I am now considering getting my CFI. There seems to be a high demand for MEIs in my area (Alaska) and I was considering getting my CFI initial in the multi plane I just used for the addon.
MEI training would also make it easier to be a part time CFI , allowing me to keep my current job ( benefits, better pay, pension) Rather than private instruction where to be fair to the client larger blocks of time and a more flexible schedule are necessary for instruction.
afterwards I can get the single engine addon in my plane (172) thats not complex, but the addon does not require a complex for the SE cfi
Has anyone had experience going this route for their initial? Does anyone have any potential downsides I might be unaware of? Thanks for your help guys
