Growing up my father was a GA pilot and also a CFI so I was always flying around with him when he wasn't teaching. I ended up getting my single and multiengine rating and IFR by the time I was 20, soon after life and college got in the way and now at 28 I want to start flying again. I still have my license, but my medical is 5 years old and haven't been in a cockpit in 6 years. My father is still flying but not teaching and basically retired from everything and is living it up with my mom in Vegas. He still flies and has his two aircraft, but now just does it for fun.
Whats the easiest way to go about becoming current again, I assume find a CFI and do some check rides? I don't care too much about the IFR rating honestly. I have a Cub (I named her Gretchen), that is hangered not to far from me, so its ready when I am, although that also needs an inspection and some other small things. And maybe major things like a 650Xi if that will even work in a Cub, I've been out of it so long I don't even know. Oh yeah Gretchen had been sitting for 6 years, so I got that going for me which is nice. :|
