ADHD and flying as a career

Post Body

My high school thinks I have adhd, so I’m getting tested soon. I want to fly for an airline as a career. Will I still be able to do this if I were to have an adhd diagnosis?

I already have experience in flying just not a medical yet.

Edit: I appreciate everyone’s input, but I feel I should rephrase my question to be: Is ADHD an instant disqualifier from ever becoming a pilot for an airline.

Comments

To be honest don’t do the ADHD testing 99% of the time they have diagnosis/prescription happy doctors that will say you have it even if you don’t. ADHD is very manageable without medication or an official diagnosis.

Think long and hard about if it’s worth it or not. You will absolutely take years to get your medical and thousands of dollars
