RAMP Check
Post Body

I'm not a pilot, but I skydive. Our Drop Zone was subject to a RAMP check this morning, and it shut down operations for ~60 minutes. It was my first experience with this. How common is this for commercial operations? After a bit of uninformed research it seems that those checks aren't supposed to shut down normal operations.

Long drama filled story short, the city we operate in has it out for us. Is there anything that can be done by non-owners to help mitigate or push back? We can't even fuel at our airport anymore because "Jet-A is a dangerous chemical and could cause a fire." Yet I see other operations fill up on the airport.
