Every since I was a kid o was fascinated with flying, never got enough of flying and was building and flying model aircrafts before I was a teenager. 10 years ago when I turned 18 I joined the Air Force, was TACP for 6 years and ended the last 4 years as a crew chief on C-130’s (I was forced to retrain due to medical issues ). But through out all these years I was never afraid of flying or heights. When I was TACP I did quite a few jumps and when I was a crew chief I was a FCC and flew constants and loved every second of it.
Today I did my first hour towards my PPL and I have to say I have never been scared of flying as I was today, the Cesna was too narrow and my bigass shoulders took up half of the instructors space, I was questioning if the door would fall off the plane because it didn’t seem as secure and when o was given the controls I was freaking out inside.
Luckily had a great instructor that reassured everything is ok and that how forgiving the plane is but any one else feel scared when they first flew and how did you get over it
