Looking to get one of these combos, but I don’t really know which one is more versatile and forgiving with a beginner. The species that I will target are:

bass on the lakes and pounds: 70%
summer chub and trout in the rivers: 30%

I read all the opinions from here and from the web, they are great choices for a beginner like me. I tend to go with a 9’ and 6WT to stay a little bit in the middle and have more flexibility since I’m targeting bass as well.

What do you think? Which one is more suitable and forgiving for a beginner like me? Thanks for your replies!
