TFO 8wht for big streamers
Post Body

Hey all, I have a question about my set up. I’ve gone chuck ducking before but never as big as I am now. I have usually been really good at getting a bunch of line out there. I just got a “new to me” TFO 8wht and an 8wht weight forward line on a sage reel, and I can barely get 15-20 ft out of a cast as opposed to usually 40-60 ft that I have casted successfully. Now I always hear about have the right combination of line, reels, and rod. On the other hand I’ve heard people say, it’s not the equipment but the operator. Which could also definitely be the problem.

Any tips or pointers? Videos, or books I should read?
