Post Body

I’m currently planning a week or longer trip for the summer, but I’m undecided on where to go. I’ve got a budget of ~$1000 and I’m thinking about either going out west for cuts and wild browns or going to New England for trophy brook trout. I’ve done numerous backpacking and camping trips in my home state, but I’m looking to explore and hopefully find some trophy fish somewhere. If you guys could pick a destination, where would you go? Possibilities are as follows but I’m still brainstorming. I’d like to have a lot of public land with tent camping options. I’ll also add that I’m not looking for secret spots or anything of the like and I’m content with hiking several miles a day

-Idaho/Wyoming/Montana -Maine or the Adirondacks -The driftless -East TN and Western NC -SW Colorado (again)
