South Houston and Clear Lake City fly and water suggestions?

Iām used to fishing for trout in the Rockies and visiting family near Armand Bayou in Clear Lake. I have a few poppers for bass, a bunch of terrestrials, and usually enjoy nymph fishing. I will be bank fishing with a 9ā0 5wt (6 piece) but could maybe bring a 6wt (4 piece) setup.
I would like to stay in freshwater or brackish if possible. Any fly, setup, or water suggestions relatively close would be greatly appreciated. TYIA!
Clear Lake? Clear creek? Nassau bay? Galveston bay? Taylor Lake?
