About 6 months ago I met the perfect sub for a FLR after years of looking for the right fit. We got very close and both started having feelings. Our time together was always amazing and we both agreed it felt like the perfect fit and he shared with me many times how I was the best Domme he had ever had in every way. The downside is that we live about 4 hours away and I am not able to move, he knew that from day one and said distance wasn’t a problem. Well, turns out it was and now he is ending things because of the distance. I don’t blame him, long distance is hard, but I was completely blindsided.
I just feel so discouraged, finding someone who was my ideal submissive partner after so long felt amazing and I’m worried that I won’t find someone else. It just feels like such a small pool of people in my small city and it’s so hard to meet people online. I am attractive, well educated, great communicator, and by all accounts a great Domme.
I guess I am looking for some advice on how to look for potential partners but I would also love to hear some success stories from those who are in their ideal dynamic.
**EDIT- we have been talking at great length and are trying to work through it. After talking, it seems like he may be going through sub drop after leaving my presence. He has also expressed that he is becoming more attached and struggling with wanting to be with me more. He is going to start therapy to work through his concerns and we are developing a plan to stay more connected and meet his aftercare needs when apart.
