This is not a topic I generally like to get into online but after getting into a fairly robust conversation about it recently I thought I might give my thoughts. This is not meant to be a "kink" post, either.
My wife is currently three months pregnant. Firstly, we can say with absolute certainty that I'm not the father, and secondly, we are honestly unable to say who actually is.
Our arrangement has always been that I am denied sex totally while she is free to do anything with anyone. When we met, she was a full time sex worker. She stopped doing this full time a few years after we started dating but she's always been involved with sex work to some extent. After the pandemic lockdowns ended, she started getting back into sex work and is now back to doing it full time.
At the same time, we've also dropped some of the pretence that we are a normal, monogamous couple and she's openly pursuing other relationships. This didn't just happen overnight and was the result of a lot of soul searching and many, many conversations between us and those close to us. And it hasn't been a bad thing for us either.
Anyway, something that we've always understood is that, given her lifestyle, there is a significant risk that she would fall pregnant. Putting aside any fantasy nonsense, this is a BIG deal and it's never been something we've taken lightly. However, we both accepted that it could happen and we both also acknowledged that we were ok with it and have always been prepared for it. We've always been of the opinion that no matter the circumstances of it happening, it simply can never be a bad thing. And it's not.
