Hi everyone!

I'm a brand new member to this particular subreddit so just finding my feet so to speak.

If it would be ok, I just wanted to perhaps gain a bit of a general consensus on something I've been doing a bit of research on lately and that's of course, FLRs.

What made me initially very curious about them is that I was previously part of a Femdom Discord server where someone described being in this type of relationship (Man as the sub, Female as the Dominant) and explaining that this was the perfect relationship style for them both.

So for a while now, I've been trying to work out if in the long run, an FLR might suit some of my quirks and parts of my personality that I struggled to get across with previous vanilla dating attempts.

Within the last couple of years, I've developed some anxiety and it did and can still make things like kink events and munches a little difficult for me.

As anyone who also struggles with anxiety knows, it doesn't just go away which is why I'm feeling like I might be best in looking for a dominant partner who can cope with the fact that I can be an 'anxious bean' so to speak.

When I've previously had to tackle the subject before dates, I've very often found that it's instantly put them off or has left me wide open to being ghosted.

But the other things I tend to struggle with are self-esteem and confidence.

Since the days of where I was at School, I've never felt completely comfortable with my body or how I look.

I've almost always had issues when it comes to confidence and self-belief which often have made me feel like I'm perhaps not good enough for someone or that I'm not attractive enough for someone to take interest in me.

I think that I would be looking for someone who might be able to help me build and encourage that confidence within me, perhaps by leaning into my praise kink or just supporting me through stumbles and setbacks.

Of course, this wouldn't just be a one way street - I really would be looking for someone I can devote myself to and make feel good about themselves too.

I'd love to find someone I could have fun and spend time with outside of all of the kink and the Sub/Domme dynamic too.

So to cut a long story short, do you think I should be spending my time looking for an FLR and if so, do you have any advice you might be able to provide me with on how to best search for one?
