Low-key at least a lot of the areas depending where you are are actual newer constructs, clean areas, feel safe etc. Some cities I've lived in were soo fucking white trash it was genuinely depressing. Between that muggy weather shit wages and prices as high if not higher than here I'm like at least we get a few upsides like weather and clean nice common spaces and friendly people. It ain't a whole ton but yeah those and the fact there's always something going on here and people moving down or visiting it's got a lot more opportunity and a stronger economy vs urban hellscapes that really only have the downsides so it ain't the best place in the world to live but it sure as shit ain't the worst.
