Is moving to Florida at a young age a good idea?

Post Body

I want to move to Florida after graduating college. If I move immediately after graduating, I would be 20. I've visited Florida on several occasions and I absolutely love it there. However, I'm worried about finances and meeting people my age. From my understanding, living in Florida is rather expensive, particularly in the area I would like to move to - north or central part of the Atlantic coast. I definitely don't plan on owning beach fromt property, but would like to be within 30 mins to 1 hr from the beach. Also, I know a significant portion of Florida's population is retired people. I want to be able to find people my age to date and be friends with. What parts of Florida have a younger population and are cheap to live in?

In addition to all this, I have a dead end/useless degree and I have no idea what kind of job or career I want. I'm considering staying where I am to get more work experience for a year or two, but I really hate it here and want to get out ASAP.
