Family room and living room or single great room?
Post Body

Iā€™d love to hear your debate. Iā€™m currently starting to actually look at houses (buying something small older and pre-owned). Some of these houses have split living space with two small sitting rooms (a family room and a living room) while others have one larger space (normally still labeled living room as none of the houses Iā€™m seeing are large).

So in your option what are the pros and cons of each?

I feel like for me no kids a great room makes more sense, if having kids having a separate space for fun/family vs other things might be useful.

What do you think in general?
