Hi r/FloorPlans,
I’m back with a revised floorplan since my last post, now featuring a 1400 ft.² space with a gable roof. I’m looking for feedback on the layout and room orientations. Details are sparse as this is a rough draft from an iPhone app, so please excuse the wall misalignment and general messiness. Ignore the window placement as I haven’t gotten to that part yet.
The kitchen has undergone many revisions, and I’ve settled on a farmhouse style (see image for reference), minus an island. I’m a single 35-year-old, building this house in Warm Springs, GA, where I plan to spend about half my time, with the rest in the city, so keeping the mortgage small is important, with size being one way I’m doing that. The home is oriented lengthwise west to east for optimal solar orientation, with lots of windows to the south (left side)
