I had already explained to my parents that I am a floor sitter now, but when I arrived for Christmas dinner, I could see that they had set up a table and chairs for us all to eat at.
It feel isolating, trying to be responsible in a group of people who is irresponsible. Like being the designated driver for a group of drunks. I was eating alone on the floor, listening to my family laughing to muffled stories.
Their dog kept trying to take my food! And when I yelled at the dog, they kept giving me dirty looks, as if it was my fault that their dog isn't trained to be around floor sitters.
Then, when I was using their toilet, the seat of the toilet fell off of the toilet! Not only did part of my jacket fall into the toilet, worse still, my feet fell to the ground, and I found myself in a seated position that I had not consented to.
So I went back out to the dinner, and before I could start complaining about the faulty toilet seat, my mom was all mad at me about leaving my food on the floor, saying how the dog could have choked on the fork, and how she worked so hard preparing that food, and how the dog isn't supposed to eat onions.
Chairies are incapable of taking responsibility for their own chair related mistakes. They are just so tiresome. I gave up trying to talk to my mom, and went out the door in my wet clothing, and started my long walk to the nearest bus stop.
