I see all these comments online where people are saying AA won’t exist in a year, they’re going bankrupt, etc… is there any truth to this? Also why is AA allowing delta and United to have primary presence in more international locations? Don’t they want to compete with the other legacies instead of just allowing them to have more routes??
I give it 0% chance that AA actually goes under, not just is there a surge in air travel and AAs market is mildly rebounding, but in the age of corporate bailouts which we live in now, do you really think a presidential administration would want the label of letting one of the largest airlines in the world, more so the US "flag carrier" go under, surging unemployment? Absolutely not, they would get a government bailout well before they go under.
