Would anyone be interested in a Launch distraction device?

Post Body

So I was reading through the reviews of the Launch over on the FL website and a lot of the reviews mentioned it not being a discreet device.

I started to think why I hadn't had that experience. One part is that my room is on the far side of the house, but I think the main reason I never worry about it is that I'm a maker and a tinkerer. There are strange and repeating noises coming from my room pretty much 24/7.

So here's my idea: I could pretty easily build a device that sounds exactly like the Launch does, and has some supposed usable purpose that we would probably vote on (what do you think the best cover use for it is? Screen polisher, WiFi scanner, etc.). Then you just show off the device when you receive it to your roommates or whoever lives in your house, turn it on and let them hear it, then whenever they hear it in the future that's what their mind will go to.

Depending on the cover use we choose it should really easy. It also depends on how tech savvy the people you're trying to fool are. See I mentioned a WiFi scanner above, we could easily attach fake antennas to it. With some really basic thought it could be extremely convincing. I mean who really questions other people's purchases that much?

Would anyone have any interest in a device like this? This is basically a feeler post to see if there's enough interest, and get insight as to how it should be built.
