Launch Review from Someone Who Was Never Really Impressed with Fleshlights
Post Body

OK so I know there are a ton of Launch reviews out already, but I figured I would post mine since it comes from a relatively unique viewpoint and could help someone who wasn't all that impressed with FLs or has never owned one before.

I'm 28 years old and have had plenty of sex and blowjobs in my life; probably more than most just because I had a steady sex-charged girlfriend for 5 years. I was extremely lucky early in my life. I own a handful of FLs - Destroya, STU, Tornado, and a handful of other random imitations. I never really liked them that much. I don't know if it was the prep time, cleanup time, or what - but I never ended up using them much. I would pull one out every month or two and use it just to change things up, but they never blew me away like they seem to with other people.

I was actually in the process of building my own auto-jacker with a DC motor and associated parts because it doesn't take a genius to realize that no matter how good your porn or imagination is, when you are physically creating the motion it's pretty much impossible to trick your brain into thinking anything else is going on.

So I got the Launch and charged it up. I put my sleeves in some hot water to warm them up when I got off work around 6 and then... proceeded to dick around on my computer until about 1:30 AM. I honestly didn't expect it to be a huge difference over manual manipulation. I knew it was going to be better, but I thought there will still be some mental or physical disconnect that would prevent it from being all that great. After realizing it was either time to get to business or just go to bed I decided to give it a try. I received the Swallow texture with Stoya's mouth mold as my free mystery sleeve, and holy shit am I happy I did because it played perfectly with the way the Launch works with my brain. I turned the device on long slow strokes, inserted, sat back in my chair, closed my eyes, and pressed the go button. All of a sudden I was sitting in a chair getting an incredible blowjob and holding some girl's head in my hands. I was fucking floored. Not having to physically create the motion makes an almost unbelievable difference. It somehow actually felt better than a FL ever has. I had to turn the device off multiple times in order to prevent myself from blowing too early, and I ended up having the best orgasm I've had in a very long time.

Granted the touch controls absolutely suck. Seriously, they are a nightmare. You have to swipe like 20 times if you want to make sure it's at the max or min settings. Luckily once the custom control applications and programs start coming out that won't be such a big deal. I might actually try to replace the haptic patches with a pot or directional button. Also, the bottom is ringed in a soft gasket type material. It's the part that contacts your hips so I get that they want to make it soft, but they've made it so it won't stand upright without tipping over. Minor annoyance but still, you really couldn't have designed it so it could sit upright? I also wish the maximum stroke length was about 1-2" longer. Other than that though I can't think of any more negatives to the Launch.

If you are on the fence and can't decide whether to pick it up or not for whatever reason, stop reading this now and buy it. Or start saving every penny you can in order to do so. If this thing was that good with just closing my eyes and using my imagination, I can't image how good it's going to be once the amazing people working on custom control schemes for the Launch release their software. Once I can make a custom speed/depth profile for my favorite VR clip I may never come out of my room again. I highly recommend picking up even just a basic VR headset (cardboard-type players work fine) and a set of 3D earphones. Badoink VR has recently had their models start whispering into the viewer's ear, and I can't wait for my OSSIC X headphones to show up to fully take advantage of that. Because that's another huge mental break when it comes to VR audio: the sound doesn't sound like it's actually coming from in front of you. Once that is fixed I seriously will probably never see sunlight again.

tl;dr - Buy one. You won't regret it.
