Do fleshlights cause chafing?

I’ve never used a name brand fleshlight before but some strokers I’ve used in the past have caused me to chafe pretty easily. Do you think fleshlights have less of a risk of chafing or am I just doing something wrong?
What are ways I can prevent chafing? Am I just being too rough?
